LAURA MARTE

Ms. Laura Marte is a Bilingual (Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker working in Social Services and Mental Health for over 20 years. She has worked in Child Welfare, Foster Care,

Community Mental Health, NYC Public Schools, Not-for-profit, and Community-Based

Organizations. Populations served include at-risk youth, children and families, early childhood,

and students with disabilities. Ms. Marte has worked in direct practice, managerial positions,

and supervisory roles.

Ms. Marte, currently, holds a position as an Early Childhood Social Worker in the NYC Public

Schools Division of Early Childhood. In this role, Ms. Marte provides coaching to Early

Childhood programs. The work includes building the capacity of teaching teams to ensure

high-quality early childhood program implementation and strengthening family engagement

practices. Additionally, Ms. Marte has a part-time mental health private practice in the Bronx,

New York where she provides psychotherapy to individual adults and couples.

Ms. Marte is a first-generation Dominican American who grew up in New York City’s Upper West

Side and as an adult, moved to Riverdale. Ms. Marte obtained her bachelor's degree in

Psychology from Utica College of Syracuse University and a Master's in Social Work from

Yeshiva University Wurzweiler School Of Social Work. Ms. Marte has been licensed in NYS as

a Clinical Social Worker since 2005.

Ms. Marte has always had a passion for education, promoting mental health wellness, helping

underserved communities, and empowering individuals to meet their desired goals. When we

equip individuals with resources and knowledge we are giving them the tools for success.
